It's time to get Happy !

I cannot believe how quickly this week has gone.. absolutely flown... ! Scary how quickly this year in general is going.... and its scary to think we are almost 6 months into the year.. speaking of this.. I wonder how many of you set goals at the start of the year and have yet done nothing about them.... Why not !?

I was so pumped at the start of this year.. firstly because 2010 was going to be the year I completed some unfinished goals.. the first one was to Train, Diet and compete in the Melbourne Physique Titles... I did, I excitedly won and I ticked it off my goal sheet.. it made me want more...

More goals to pursue because it totally gives my life meaning... without goals.. its like you just plod along on a road to no where.. without goals.. I would be lost. I have goals not only with my health and fitness, but with every other area of my life such as career, family, financial, social etc and the list goes on... I can in 2010 say that many of my goals are starting to take shape and it is nothing short of damn exciting. To wake up each day and to be able to work toward my dreams makes me one happy lady!

I do pity those who go through their days, unhappy, uninspired and hating what they do.. why do people stay in a job that makes them miserable.. comfort zone I guess..I have been in the situation before.. however I get myself out pretty damn quickly.. ... from this moment on.. if your not happy with what you are doing.. make a goal to do something immediately to change your situation so you can wake up excited about the day.. ready to go.. not miserable depressed and totally hanging out for the end of the week. Rewrite a resume, do some seeking, network with people, talk to someone in the industry that you would love to work in.. r is it you feel fat and frumpy.... its lunch time.. get off your arse and go for a 20 - 30 minute power walk.. throw your sneakers on and just go. don't make excuses... I know where I will be in 20 minutes.. going for a lunchtime power walk to clear the mind, keep fit and get ready for a busy afternoon.

There are so so so so so so so many options out there and so many opportunities for everyone to take hold of... and the reason why there are so many is because so many people choose not to take them.. they choose to stay unhappy.. and not take risks or go with the opportunities because they are scared... I always go with my gut feeling on most things and have found this a good way to work out whether or not it is something I would want to persue. I have also learnt that my gut feeling is generally always right... Growing up is so much fun, not only because you mature and learn so much more, but I have found I now have total self confidence in making all my decisions and always listen to what the little ticker is saying inside my head... I am not afraid to say no.. and I certainly say it how it is.. so helpful in life I believe.. too many people are afraid to say No to things these days whether it is a social event, a job opportunity they dont actually want or anything else for that matter that they truly dont want to be doing..

So I say stop doing stuff you don't want to do and start doing what TRULY makes you really really happy... it could even be taking out 5 minutes of your time now to call a friend or you mum :-) If that's what makes you happy and smile just do it.

As for me.. I am now going to take a break.. and do something that makes me truly happy, rail hail or shine.. that is to go out and get some fresh air, exercise and recharge... As they say - the best things in life are free..!!!
