How'dy! Its great to be back to another week - and what an exciting week it will be !!! I have heaps on and looking forward to more results this week with my training, eating clean foods all week and feeling on top of my game every day, and enjoying what each day has to bring, whether it be a positive or negative experience.. all I know is that from every one of these I will learn something new about myself and others.
Which gets me thinking - I wonder if I am sometimes "weird" or a "crazy freak" or downright stupid sometimes at the comments that you hear from the apparently "normal human being" (because yes apparently when you choose to train at the crack of dawn or eat a nice clean healthy meal you are not considered normal... so it ponders the question, is being lazy, full of excuses and filling your face with crappy food the normal these days??) ... and I am totally sure I am not alone here in that people who benefit from the health and fitness lifestyle probably get shot down by negativity occasionally, generally from those who have not yet realised the amazing benefits of this sort of "so called crazy" healthy lifestyle.
Most days I find that a comment here or there is directed to me such as "yuk, how can you eat that" or "yeah real tasty that looks" etc etc.. basically a comment based around the "clean healthy foods" I am preparing or the fact that I was up at the crack of dawn to do some cardio - Am I totally insane !!!
Hrmmmm - isn't it funny that generally speaking most of these comments or slurs come from the more negative person who is quite clearly struggling to find the motivation or drive to look after their Number #1, the person who will always find an excuse "why not" to exercise today or why their last meal was junk food. I can guarantee you will never hear a negative comment from a health "freak" if your next meal is chicken and steamed veggies, or if you wake up at 5am to go for a run, because they people understand why you do it, they understand the benefits of a healthy and fit lifestyle, they understand how you will feel after you finish training followed by a delicious healthy breakfast, they will understand that this is a way of life, not just a short term solution to living a long and fulfilling life where you can have all the energy in the world to play with your kids, all the energy to do your daily tasks, all the energy to rub off onto the next person so that they can get a little more motivated. The positives are endless and far outweigh any negative to this lifestyle.. Quite frankly, I cannot think of any negative about living a lifestyle that includes regular exercise and healthy eating. It is my way of life, and always will be.
It can become rather annoying at times when the "lazier" person tried to make themselves feel better by trying to cover up their negativity by saying something like, gosh that looks so boring or gee your missing out on... such and such or anything else that is a "hidden" negative comment to try and make you feel bad..not that it ever works. I can assure you, I ain't missing out on nuthin! I know that living this lifestyle that I can have my cake and eat it too.. yes I do eat crap sometimes.. I love sweets and dark chocolate especially, however I know that I work my freakin butt off so I can occasionally enjoy these treats, and I also know that I will not whinge or complain that I ate this or that.. I will eat it, enjoy it and know that no matter what I will be up the next day doing some physical exercise to ensure that it does not do any "damage". Its not rocket science..
If people label me a wierdo, freak, stupid, crazy whatever else, great - that's what I would rather be than lazy, unmotivated, tired and frumpy. When you have a destination, and you know exactly what it is and where you are going, it beats going around in circles looking for a quick fix.. People are still daily trying to find the next best weight loss pill or potion, without first getting to the bottom of the problem.. and this is where it is so important.. to "get your head space right" and work out WHY you want to finally get out of the rut you are in.. why you want to lose some body fat, why you want to finally feel good EVERY day not just sometimes, WHY you want constant motivation, and not have the argument with yourself every day as to whether you should go and get some exercise or not.. it should be a given.. this is your body - you only get one.. so look after it.. become a "crazy freak" because you will NEVER EVER regret it ! I know that about 1.5 years ago, something was said to me that gave me so much drive... and from the day this person gave me a spat of negative comments and just really offended me at the time.. I didn't whinge or cry about what they said, I used it as my driving force to "REALLY SHOW THEM".. and yep.. thanks because to this day, if it were not for your comments.. I would not be so driven and determined to make the best out of myself..
So this week - make 1 small positive step toward a healthier you.. go for a 30 minute walk today - even 15 minutes.. start small.. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither should your lifestyle changes.. start small and give things time.. however.. give yourself enough time to really see the benefits.. and most of all NEVER, EVER, give up.. let your past mistakes be your motivation to do even better, to work harder.. I constantly learn from my mistakes.. I use it as a chance to improve myself, find a better way of doing things, I always try to take something from any negative experience because no matter what we are all faced with negativity daily.. its how you will deal with it that counts.
Have an amazing week ! xxxxxxxx

ReplyDeleteVictoria May! well said and power to ya...did you know Australia is now the most obese nation! I for sure as hell do not want to promote that, and do not want to put money into the pocket of buisness men who feed poison to the public and dont care that we may die of heart desease it angers me and I wish people would become more educated on the health effects of eating processed food and not bothering to make time to excersise for themselves!By the way you look amazing and I look up to your dedication!
